The NC Program tool performs several useful functions:
NC Program provides a way of organizing toolpaths, from several setups, into one CNC machine program group. It allows you to optimize operations for machines with multiple fixtures and fixture offsets. A specific post processor can be assigned to this group.
NC Program is used to post process the NC code for any group. This group can contain a single operation, an entire setup, or optimized operations from multiple setups (as described above).
Toolpath simulation can be performed on any group. This group can contain a single operation, an entire setup, or optimized operations from multiple setups.
Setup sheets can be created for any group. This group can contain a single operation, an entire setup, or optimized operations from multiple setups.
The NC Program dialog contains two tabs:
On the Settings tab, select your post processor and output parameters.
On the Operations tab, select the operations that define the group. Selecting OK saves the group in the Browser for future use (post processing, simulation, or setup sheet creation). Selecting Post creates the NC code based on the current settings and selections. This action also creates a group in the Browser, while creating the NC code.
