Activity 8: Export the drawing

In this activity, you:

• Save your drawing.
• Export your drawing as a PDF file.

Prerequisites

• Activity 7 is complete.

Steps

1. Save the drawing.

   1. Click File > Save.

      

      The Save command is located under the File drop-down list.

   2. Type Utility Knife in the Name field.

   3. Click OK.

2. Export a PDF.

   1. Click Export > Export PDF.

      

      The Export PDF command is located under the Export drop-down list.

   2. Optional: Check Open PDF to open the PDF file when the export is complete.

   3. Optional: Uncheck Lineweights to export with a thin, uniform lineweight.

   4. Navigate to the desired location on your local computer.

   5. Click Save.

   The PDF file is saved to the location you specified. If you checked the Open PDF setting, the PDF opens automatically.
