Edit an existing footprint

1. In Library Manager, select the library and click Edit.

2. In the Content Manager, click Footprints and select the name of the footprint you want to edit.

3. Right-click the footprint name and select whether to rename, edit description, duplicate, create a new 3D model, or delete the footprint.

4. If you select New 3D Model, you will assign a 3D model for the footprint in the steps that follow.

5. As prompted, provide a suitable name and save the package.

6. Click PCB Package > 3D Package Generator, or in the Data Panel, right-click the name of a package you have uploaded and select Insert into Current Design.

7. Select a suitable model for your footprint.

8. Click Update Preview to add the model to the drawing with the footprint.

9. If necessary, use Fusion tools to revise the dimensions, number of pins, and other details.

10. Select the model in the Browser, and use Fusion tools to rotate and translate the package to align it with the footprint.
