Create a new generative model

Create a new generative model to use different set of geometry in your project.

To create a new generative model

  1. In the Generative Design workspace, on the Define tab, click Edit Model > Edit Model edit model icon.

    The Edit Model contextual environment opens.

  2. On the Edit Model Solid or Edit Model Surface tab, click Create > New Generative Model generative model icon.

    Note: Alternatively, you can create the new generative model from the Browser. Right-click a generative model, and select New Generative Model from the context menu.

    The new generative model appears in the Browser.

To clone a generative model

You can create a new generative model based on an existing one.

  1. In the Generative Design workspace, on the Define tab, click Edit Model > Edit Model edit model icon.

    The Edit Model contextual environment opens.

  2. In the Browser, select a generative model.

  3. Right-click the generative model and select Clone Generative Model from the context menu.

  4. Select which of the studies in your generative model you'd like to clone, then click OK.

    Note: You can Select All, or choose specific ones.

    The new generative model appears in the Browser.
