Generative model (Edit Model)

A generative model is a set of geometry that contains all of the studies within that model.

You can create a new generative model using the New Generative Model new generative model icon command from the Create panel of the Edit Model toolbar. You can also creating the generative model in the browser, by right-clicking a generative model and selecting New Generative Model from the context menu.

Creating the generative model enables you to set up multiple configurations of the design space and run them at the same time in the same project. The new generative model is useful when you want to use a different set of geometry in your project. For example, in one generative model you can use a starting shape geometry and in the other you can create the design space without it. This way you can compare the outcomes for these two different generative models.

You can also clone an existing generative model in the browser, by right-clicking a generative model and selecting Clone Generative Model from the context menu. This way you can keep the existing model and make the geometry adjustments. For example, you can use the Remove Features command to simplify your model.

Note: You can create or clone the generative model only in the Edit Model contextual environment.
