Data Panel

Note: Fusion is gradually being updated with the Home tab, a new way of navigating around Fusion that replaces the Data Panel. The next time you start Fusion, check to see if you have access to it yet. See Home tab.

Use the Data Panel to access, organize, and share your Fusion projects and design data.

The Data Panel is hidden by default. Click the Show Data Panel icon data panel icon to open it.

Tip: Press Ctrl+Alt+P (Windows) or Option+Command+P (MacOS) to show or hide the Data Panel.

data panel ui overview

The Data Panel enables you to view your projects and designs. It also includes sets of samples you can use, for example CAM samples.

Use the project filter to change which projects are visible:

Join a project

Projects can open or closed. Anyone on a team can join a open project. Only team members invited by a project administrator or approved by a project administrator can join a closed project. Everyone on the team can see both open and closed projects in the list but you must join a project to see the contents of the project, even for open projects.

To join an open project, place your cursor in the upper right corner of the project and click Join.

To join a closed project, place your cursor in the upper right corner of the project and click Request Access. The team administrator will review your request. Until the administrator determines your access, the project indicates Access Requested.

Grant access to a project (Administrators Only)

As a team administrator, you are notified when access to a project is requested.

  1. Place your cursor in the upper right corner of the project and click View Access Requests.
  2. Review the access requests.
  3. Click Approve to grant access to the requester or click Reject to deny the request.

Pin a project

Place your cursor over the top-right corner of a project to pin it and mark it as a favorite.

Open a project

Double-click the name of the project or a sample to access data that are contained within particular project or sample folder.
