Element deletion criteria in Event Simulation

During an event simulation, a consequence of the event may be the development of cracks, breaks, or holes in the model. You can simulate the development of cracks, breaks, and holes, by allowing mesh elements to be deleted and removed from the simulation when specific criteria are met. Only mesh elements of the selected body that meet the deletion criteria are deleted.

Deletion criteria include:

• Negative volume
• Effective strain
• Equivalent plastic strain
• Principal strain
