Fans in electronics cooling

Fans are used in electronics products to remove heat from active electronic circuits. They bring air into the enclosure from the environment, move it past hot components, and exhaust it back out to the environment.

The fan icon Fan command in an electronics cooling study creates an idealized version of your as-modeled fan to reduce both cost and time without compromising solution accuracy. The only boundary condition you need to specify, then, is the fluid flow. Identify the as-modeled fan as a Fan to solve forced convection simulations.

Note: Both fixed volumetric flow rate and velocity are supported.
