Add an Image to a Workspace

You can add images (schematics, process and instrument drawings, satellite images, etc.) to your workspace to help give context to your data.

Before you can add an image to a workspace, you need to Upload and Tag Images.

To add an Image to your workspace:

  1. Open your workspace and click Add Component.
  2. Select Image from the drop-down and then select your image.
  3. If you have tagged your image, you will be given the option to include tagged data (such as latest sensor data, related workspaces, text annotations, etc.) and make the image interactive.
Note: If you add an image without tags to your workspace and add tags later, you will need to add a new image component to your workspace in order to include the tags.
  4. Click Submit.
  5. Adjust the size of the image and save your workspace.

Using a tagged image in a workspace

To see the tags on the image, click the layers icon .

You can also use the list button to show a list of all the associated sensors, workspaces, etc. From this list you can select sensors and create charts.

For the latest sensor values, data is retrieved at the interval defined in the sensor configuration. The default is 5 minutes. We recommend setting the workspace to auto refresh.
