Storm Durations

Storm durations spreadsheet contains the initial default set of Storm durations that can be selected for the Australian Rainfall and Runoff, FSR Rainfall or FEH Rainfall with Run time values, which yield twice the duration.

Use

Tick the box to use the selected event (storm duration) in the analysis process.

Duration

Duration of the storm event. The default storms durations, in minutes, are:

ARR 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120, 180, 270, 360, 540, 720, 1080, 1440, 1800, 2160, 2880, 4320, 5760, 7200, 8640, 10080

FSR / FEH 15, 30, 60, 120, 180, 240, 360, 480, 600, 720, 960, 1440, 2160, 2880, 4320, 5760, 7200, 8640, 10080

Desbordes 15, 30, 60, 120, 180, 240, 360, 480, 600, 720, 960, 1200, 1440

The default durations cannot be edited by the user.

The default set determines the range of the storm durations that can be specified within the software.

Intense Period Duration (Desbordes Only)

This is the duration of the intense period used to produce the intense triangle as part of the storm. Default values for each duration are given but these can be changed as required.

Run Time

Analysis run time of the event. The run time values can be changed by the user for all the events in the spreadsheet. By default this is set to twice the duration.

Manipulation buttons (Not available for ARR):

Add

Adds a new row of data at the bottom of the spreadsheet

Delete

Deletes the currently selected row, if it doesn't belong to the default set

Clear

Clears information in the spreadsheet, removing all previously added rows and setting the run time values for the default set of storm durations to their default values (twice the duration)

Default (FSR/FEH/Desbordes Rainfall Only)

Ticks a default set of storm durations, which are 15, 30, 60, 120, 240 360, 480, 960 and 1440.
