The Live Data Adapter allows you to connect sensor data to model elements for calibration and analysis. Once sensors are mapped to model elements, you can load the data and model results into the Gap Analysis dashboard for comparison analysis.
The Live Data Adapter can be used to connect to local SCADA historian databases or directly to Info360 data. Note that an Info360 Insight subscription is currently required for the SCADA hosting service, but this also provides workflows for streamlined calibration and near-real-time modeling.
You can access live data adapter (LDA)
function from the InfoWater Pro ribbon - Project section.
To configure your database with LDA:
- If you are new to Live Data Adapter, you will need to configure a real time database (choose from SQL server, ClearSCADA, or PI) in the following dialog box.
- Click on the
Live Data Adapter
button to configure your database in the LDA Connection dialog box.
- Select
Info360.com to upload your LDA data into Info360 Insight.
- Enter your Connection name in the
Name field.
- Enter a Description (optional) in the
Description field.
- Select the Server Type (choose SQL server, ClearSCADA, or PI) in the
Server Type field.
- Select your Connection Provider from the drop-down box in the
Connection Provider field.
- Enter your Server Address (i.e., IP address, your server name, or your alias) in the
Server Address field.
- Enter your User Name and Password in the
User Name and
Password fields.
- Enter a Database for SQL server. Note: The
Database field does not need to have an entry in the case of ClearSCADA and PI server types.
- Click
OK.
- Next the Sensor List dialog box appears.
Note: You can add description to your sensors in the Description field. Here is an example taken from a CSV file. View the Description column in the Sensor list for more information.
- You may have some sensors that you need to delete from your list. To do this, select your sensor mappings from the Sensor list, and click on the Delete button. Choose
Yes from the Confirmation dialog box to delete your selected mappings from your list of sensors.
- Click on the
Batch Export
button to attach a list of sensors from your CSV file. It will automatically save your Sensors. You will not have to manually add each sensor if you batch your sensor list.
- Select your CSV file for your sensors.
- Your Sensor list will automatically appear, as shown below.
Manually Add Your New Mappings to Your Sensor List
To manually add new mappings to your sensor list:
- Click on the Add Sensor
button to add a new mapping between the sensor and element to this sensor list.
- You will see a new LDA Sensor dialog box (see below). Note: If you do not have a valid database connection, then you will not be able view this dialog box.
- Enter the following Sensor fields to create a new mapping to the list:
- Select a sensor type from the drop-down menu (choose from Flow, Pressure, Volume, Head, and Velocity).
- Enter your name for your Sensor Name in the
Sensor Name field.
- Enter your Description (optional) in the
Description field.
- Select your Sensor ID from the prepopulated list of sensors in the
Sensor ID field, as shown below.
- Select your unit for your sensor data from the drop-down box in the
Unit field.
- Enter your Value factor in the
Value Factor field.
- Enter your Value offset in the
Value Offset field.
- Enter your Element Type in the
Element Type field. Note: Click on the arrow button to choose an element on the map or you can manually type the element's in the field.
- Enter your Element ID in the
Element ID filed.
- Once you are done, click
OK
to view your new sensor mapping that you added to your Sensor List.
