Transform components with Tweak mode

Tweak Mode lets you transform components without the manipulators

Tweak mode lets you transform components (faces, edges, vertices) without having to drag the tool manipulators while in Move , Rotate , or Scale mode. It’s useful for positioning objects in a scene or making quick adjustments to a specific mesh.

Tweak mode is compatible with all component types.

To transform components with Tweak mode

  1. Select a component (face, edge, vertex) on your object.
  2. Choose the transform tool (Move , Rotate , or Scale ) manipulators. You can also use the W, E, and R hotkeys.
  3. Middle-drag the components to transform them. You can also press and hold `(Backtick, found below the Tilde key,) to enter Tweak mode.
Note: You can also tweak edges and vertices when the cursor is outside of the mesh (in dead space). See Make a selection in dead space.
