What else is new?

This release of Maya Creative also includes the following changes and improvements.

Custom FBX log file name
Two new Environment Variables now let you organize FBX import and export log files:
  • MAYA_FBX_LOG_FILENAME=customstring lets you rename the log file with a custom name

  • MAYA_FBX_LOG_DATETIME_ISO=1 appends a time stamp to the log file name.

These Environment Variables are helpful if you are import/export FBX files at the same time while running multiple Maya sessions on the same machine. Previously, log file creation would fail because the multiple Maya sessions caused naming conflicts. See General Variables and Generate Log Data in the FBX Import and Export options.

Customizable Crash File location

(Windows only)

You can now set a custom location for your crash recovery files instead of the default Temp directory using an Environment Variable. See MAYA_WINDOWS_CRASH_LOG_DIR in the File Path Environment Variable topic.

Color Management OpenColorIO has been updated to OCIO v2.3.1.
