Selection hotkeys

If a shortcut entry is blank in the shortcut table it means that there is currently no shortcut assigned to the action, but it is available for reassignment. See Customize keyboard shortcuts for information on how to reassign keys for different actions.

Select All Ctrl + A Command + A Selects all models in the 3D View.
Invert Face Selection Ctrl + Shift + I Command + Shift + I Selects any un-selected faces and deselects any existing selected faces in the 3D View.
Isolate

lets you temporarily focus on a selection of faces or a specific object, and quickly limit what displays in the scene.

Deselect All Ctrl + D Command + D Clears the current selection.
Grow Selection Ctrl + ] (close bracket) Command + ] (close bracket) Selects faces adjacent to the currently selected faces. Requires at least one face to be pre-selected.
Invert Locked

Locks all unlocked meshes and unlocks all locked meshes.

Select Level Shift + A Shift + A Selects all visible faces belonging to the subdivision level of the active face (the face under the cursor).
Select Face Shift + S Shift + S Selects the active face (the face under the center of the cursor when the hotkey is pressed).
Select Object Brush
Select Border Edge Selects the object's edges.
Delete Faces Deletes Faces.
Note: You can only delete faces when the mesh has a single level with no sculpt layers. You must delete any higher subdivision levels before attempting to delete faces from the base level. To do this, display the lowest subdivision level, then select Mesh > Delete Highest Level until you have only the base level.
Drag Rectangle Left + middle-drag Left + middle-drag Choose a selection tool from the Select/Move Tools tray then left + middle-drag around the item. To make this mode the default for a selection tool, set the Selection Mode property to Rectangle.
Rectangular Toggle Ctrl + Shift+ click + Middle-click Command + Shift + click + Middle-click
Rectangular Deselect Ctrl + click + Middle-click Command + click + Middle-click
Select tools from left to right on the current tool tray. 0 - 9 0 - 9 Press the 0 through 9 keys to select the first 9 tools on a tool tray. For more information, see Trays.
