Learn how to display maps of panel displacements and bending moments.
- Continue working in your project, or open the project
Tutorial_Alpha_Analysis.rstructure.
Note: To open the project, click
Explore Tutorials from the Welcome Screen or navigate to the Tutorials folder C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Autodesk React Structures Tech Preview\Tutorials.
- In the Load Case drop-down list above the Object Inspector, select
Self-weight to show results for the Self-weight case.
- Click

Panel Maps.
The Panel Maps - Local, Panel Maps - Global, and Display panels display in the ribbon.
- In the Panel Maps - Local panel, select
Uz Displacement.
The map of displacements in the z local direction displays on the floors.
- In the Display panel, click
Descriptions to display the result values on the structure.
- Click the
Plan View tab to switch to a plan view of the model.
- In the Object Inspector, click
next to
Grid Axes to hide the structural axes.
- In the Load Case drop-down list above the Object Inspector, select
Snow Load to show results for the Snow Load case.
- In the Panel Maps - Local panel, select
Uz Displacement.

- In the Display panel, click
Descriptions to display the result values on the floor.

- In the Panel Maps - Local panel, expand the list of Moments, and then select
Moment Myy.
The map of the bending moments
Myy displays on the floor.
- Click the
3D View tab to switch to a 3D view of the model.
- Click
Results Clear
Clear All.
The results are no longer visible in the drawing area for the active view.
