Cloud Storage Providers

You can view, edit, and save drawings that are stored on the following cloud storage providers:

  • Autodesk Drive
  • Autodesk Docs
  • Box
  • Dropbox
  • Google Drive
  • Microsoft OneDrive

You can connect to these cloud storage providers so that files stored with these providers are accessible directly from the AutoCAD mobile app.

To connect to a cloud storage provider

  1. While on the AutoCAD mobile app home screen, click +Add Source.
  2. Choose a storage provider.
  3. Sign in using your account credentials for the cloud storage provider.

You may need to grant permission for AutoCAD to access your cloud storage provider's files.

Once connected, you can access files from the storage provider by clicking the cloud storage provider's name in file manager.

Note: You can add multiple accounts from a single cloud storage provider by repeating the above steps, then adding a different email address when you sign in.

To disconnect a cloud storage provider

  1. While on the AutoCAD mobile app home screen, click the options button to the right of the cloud storage provider.
  2. Click Disconnect.
Note: When you disconnect a cloud storage provider, that provider will no longer display in your list of files. However, to fully disconnect AutoCAD from the cloud storage provider, you may still need to go to the provider's website to remove AutoCAD as a connected application. For more information about how to disconnect applications from cloud storage providers, check the cloud storage provider's website and support pages. Shared drawings

You can share drawings from the cloud storage provider's site.

Note: All shared drawings are view-only for the recipient. Although they won't be able to edit drawings, any recipient with an Autodesk account can view shared drawings, even if they don't have an AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT subscription.

Working with Xrefs

Xrefs will only resolve if they are stored in the same folder as their parent drawing.

Note: Drawings created on the mobile app and saved to a cloud storage provider can be accessed with AutoCAD desktop. You may need to install an additional application such as Dropbox or OneDrive desktop app to access your cloud files. Once installed, you can access the files in your cloud storage account like those on your local or network drive. If you have an AutoCAD 2020-based desktop product, you can take advantage of the new integrated third-party cloud storage tools.
