Design Views

Once logged in to Autodesk Viewer, you will land on the Design Views page. The Design Views page lets you upload designs and access design views you have uploaded or that have been shared with you.

Owned by me vs. Shared with me

On the Design Views page, you will see two tabs, “Owned by me” and “Shared with me." Design views listed under “Owned by me” are the designs you have uploaded. Those listed under “Shared with me” are design views that others have shared with you with a shared link. When you click a shared link, it’s automatically added to the list.

Design View Options

Design Views offers a few possible operations for managing your files.

Extend View's Expiration Date

Designs are available in Autodesk Viewer for 30 days by default. For design views that you own, you can reset the 30-day expiry by clicking Extend.

Delete Design Views

To delete a design view before the 30-day expiry, click the Menu icon, and click Delete.

Share Design Views

To share a design view with someone else, click the Menu icon, and click Share. A dialog will open, letting you copy the sharing link.

Rename Design Views

You can also rename design views you own. To rename a design, hover over the title until the Edit icon pop ups, and click it.
