File path variables

Use these variables to set file paths. Note that you can use often these variables are used to override file paths set in the File Paths section of the General Preferences.

ALIAS_CONSTR_PRESETS_LOCATION

Sets the path to a directory that contains the Construction Presets file. When set, the construction option settings default to those in the construction presets file at this location.

Optionally the first line can be the name of the active preset in quotes. For example, you can also add "yes" or "no" after the name. When you use "no", Alias does not show the standard construction presets. If you use "yes" or do not add anything after the name, Alias shows the standard construction presets.

This variable can be useful when you want to point the network location (path) where the site-wide construction presets file is located.

See Access site-wide construction presets on a network.

ALIAS_USER_DYNAMO_LIB_LOCATION

Sets the location of Dynamo and Dynamo Player sample scripts. When Alias starts, the Dynamo Toolbox shelf gets built based on the Dynamo scripts contained in the set Dynamo Library location.

This path can also be set using the Dynamo Library Location preferences in the File Paths section of the General Preferences.

Note: Setting the path using the environment variable overrides the Dynamo Library Location preference and temporarily hides it so that it doesn't display in the General Preference window. Removing the environment variable restores the preference.

ALIAS_USER_ASSET_LIB_LOCATION

Sets the location of user shading library, for example E:\ShadingLibrary.

Setting the path using the environment variable overrides the Dynamo Library Location preference. If you set this the User Library Location in
"General Preferences->File Paths->Visualization" will not appear. as this path overrides that.
