FAQ: Why do dimensions go bad when I chamfer polylines?

Sometimes, if you are inserting dimensions while creating chamfers on a polyline, the attach points of some existing dimensions may change.

For example:

Use one of the following to work around this issue

Create the chamfer without dimensions and add dimensions later, using the AMPOWERDIM (or AMPOWERDIM_CHAM) command.
Set the AMCHAMDIMASSOC system variable to 0 before you chamfer the polyline.
Note: Chamfer dimensions created while AMCHAMDIMASSOC is set to 0 are non-associative.
