About Creating Detail Views for Inventor Linked Models (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

Note: Inventor Link is available only on 64-bit systems, and it is not installed by default.

You can create detail views from a base, orthographic, or isometric drawing view. A detail view border can be elliptical, polygonal, rectangular, or a shape and size based on a specific selection. It is important to note that the current drafting standard drives the type of detail symbols on a drawing. For example, if ANSI is the drafting standard, the detail symbol appears as a three-quarter circle with arrows on either end, and the “A” is just a label. This detail symbol display differs, however, from other standards such as ISO and DIN. If you select ANSI, the viewport border is not displayed in the detail view.
