Issue Types and Sub-types
Defining issue types and sub-types allows you to specify information on project issues.
Project administrators can control the issue types available for selection, and add custom issue types or sub-types to make filtering issues more efficient. Members select sub-types while creating issues.
Note:
Custom attributes must be assigned to issue types or sub-types to appear in issues.
Custom issue types can't be removed. They can only be set to Inactive from the More menu
.
Create Custom Issue Types
Only project administrators can create issue types or sub-types.
- Click the Module Selector

- Click the Services tab.
- Click Issues in the left panel.
- Click the Issue Types secondary tab.
- Click Create New Issue Type.
- Enter the name to appear in the Issue drop-down list.
- You can also change from Active to Inactive. Inactive keeps the newly created type from being available for use.
- Click Create.
Work with Sub-types
Click the arrow next to an Issue Type to expand the sub-types drop-down menu. You can add sub-types or edit/activate sub-types from the More menu .
