Getting Started with RFIs for Administrators

As a project administrator, there are several key tasks to complete when setting up RFIs:

  1. Configure RFI Types
    • Create RFI types to match project needs
    • Set default reviewers for each type
    • Configure workflow preferences
    • Establish numbering conventions
  2. Set Up Custom Fields
    • Add project-specific fields as needed
    • Configure default values
    • Determine which fields are required
  3. Configure Advanced Settings
    • Set visibility rules for closed RFIs
    • Enable/disable ability to reopen closed RFIs
    • Control official response editing capabilities
    • Configure email notification settings
  4. Establish RFI Permissions
    • Assign manager roles to appropriate team members
    • Configure coordinator permissions if using enhanced workflow
    • Set up reviewer access levels
