Bring Your Own Subscription

Bring Your Own Subscription (BYOS) is the name for a subscription model used with Forma Data Management, Forma Data Management Essentials, Forma Design Collaboration, Forma Build, Forma Build Essentials, and Forma Takeoff. In this model, project administrators can invite members to use a product on their project without requiring a hub administrator to assign them a subscription. As long as the invited member has a subscription of their own or has an active trial, they can work in the products they were invited to use. This is true for both members internal to the organization and those external to the organization.

For example, consider the case when a project administrator invites a member of an external company to use Build and Forma Data Management Essentials on a project. If the invited member has a subscription to Forma Build which includes the Forma Build, Forma Cost Management, Forma Data Management Essentials, and Insight products, the member can start working in Forma Build and Forma Data Management Essentials right away. This is true:

• Regardless of which individual or organization owns the hub that houses the project.
• Regardless of which individual or organization purchased the subscription to Forma Build (subject to conformance with the “Authorized User” definition and other conditions in the Autodesk Terms of Use).
• As long as the invited member has been provided access to use the products on the project.
