Creating a Plan

Plans can be created as standalone or connected to a schedule.

Standalone plans are ideal for managing one-off projects or events, personal tasks or goals, and even for testing new workflows or processes without disturbing the regular schedule. Standalone plans also provide a framework for emergency or contingency plans, ready to be activated when necessary. Furthermore, for work that doesn't adhere to a predictable pattern, standalone plans offer the much-needed flexibility.

Connected plans are ideal for regular business operations that follow a set pattern or schedule, allowing for seamless coordination and tracking of ongoing activities.

Standalone Plans

To create a standalone plan:

  1. Go to the Plan tool homepage.
  2. Click Create new Plan.

This will create a new standalone plan that is not connected to any schedule.

Connected Plans

There are several ways to create plans connected to a schedule.

Note:

You can also add activities to existing plans.

  3. Select activities from the timeline by checking the boxes next to them, then click New Plan, or add them to the existing plan.

  4. Use the breadcrumbs.

  5. Use the quick menu available for each activity.

To finalize creation:

  1. Enter a name for the plan.
  2. Modify plan settings, such as access and permissions.
  3. Click Create plan.
