Use this dialog box to set up an object settings file that specifies how InfraWorks data is brought into Civil 3D.
An object settings file specifies which object types will be brought into Civil 3D and also specifies settings for the objects. You specify which object settings file to use when you open the InfraWorks model.

InfraWorks Object - Civil 3D Object Settings
Select the check boxes under InfraWorks Object to control which types of InfraWorks model objects to bring into Civil 3D when this object settings file is used, and then click the buttons under Civil 3D Object Settings to specify settings for the objects.
Note: You have the option to refine which
InfraWorks model objects are brought into
Civil 3D when you open the
InfraWorks model.
- Terrain Surfaces
- Creates TIN surfaces in
Civil 3D from
InfraWorks terrain surfaces. Click

- Planning Utilities
- Creates pipe networks in
Civil 3D from
InfraWorks planning utilities (pipelines which have an undefined Utility Type and which have generic pipeline connectors). Click

- Planning Roads
- Creates alignments in
Civil 3D from
InfraWorks planning roads. Click

- Design Roads
- Creates alignments and profiles in

- Creates intersections with curb return alignments in

InfraWorks drainage networks (pipelines which have a Drainage Utility Type and which have manholes and inlets). Click

- Creates 3D polylines in

InfraWorks coverages that modify terrain. Enter a layer name or click

- Water Areas

Note: Generic objects that are part of tunnels are brought into Civil 3D as 3D solids. When the PICKSTYLE system variable is set to its default setting of 1, selecting a tunnel will also select its associated generic objects. If you want to select the generic objects separately, you can set the PICKSTYLE system variable to 0. - Generic Objects
