Execute a survey query, insert the resulting survey points and figures to the drawing, and add them to a surface definition.
If the survey query has both points and figures criteria, both are added as operations to the surface definition. You can choose to embed the points or figures in the drawing or to dynamically reference the survey query to optimize drawing performance.
The survey points and figures that are included in a survey query can be added to a surface as static points and figures from either the Survey Query ribbon tab or the Toolspace Survey tab. When this process is complete, the points and figures appear in the drawing area and in the Prospector in the following locations:
- The Point Groups collection, in both the _All Points group and a new point group that is named [Survey Database Name]: [Survey Query Name]
- The Surfaces collection, in the applicable [Surface Name ]
