To create a single quick cross section between a pair of points
- In the
Toolspace, on the
Toolbox tab, expand
Miscellaneous Utilities
Surfaces. Double-click Quick Cross Sections.
- When prompted for an option, enter 3p.
- In the drawing, pick two points to specify the left and right extents of the quick cross section view.
- Pick a third point to specify the direction of the quick cross section view.
- Pick a location for the lower left corner (origin) of the section view grid.
- In the Section View Styles dialog box, specify styles for the section, section view, and band set. Click
OK.
The quick cross section view is drawn.
- Press either Enter or Esc to exit the command and delete the quick cross section view.
To create multiple quick cross sections along a baseline
- In the
Toolspace, on the
Toolbox tab, expand
Miscellaneous Utilities
Surfaces. Double-click Quick Cross Sections.
- When prompted for an option, enter Multiple.
- In the drawing, pick points to draw a baseline.
- Press Enter to finish drawing.
- Enter a sampling interval.
- Enter a left swath width.
- Enter a right swath width.
- Pick a location for the lower left corner (origin) of the first section view grid.
- In the Section View Styles dialog box, specify styles for the section, section view, and band set. Click
OK.
The quick cross section views are drawn.
- Press either Enter or Esc to exit the command and delete the quick cross section views.
