It is easy to connect to Autodesk Digital Workplace from an iPad. Instructions, with videos, are below. If there is a problem with the standard method of connecting through the Citrix browser, there is an alternate method described below that uses the Chrome Browser.

Standard Method - Connecting Through the Citrix Workspace Browser

1. Download the Citrix Workspace app from the App Store.

2. Open the app and select "Get Started."

3. Select "Manual Setup" under settings.

4. Fill out the form:

   • Enter the address of the Digital Workplace User portal. The address will be different depending on your region — your Organizational Account Administrator can provide you with the URL
   • in the description field, enter "Autodesk Digital Workplace"
   • choose "Web Interface" and Save.

5. When you have logged into the User Portal with your Autodesk account, click on the Digital Desktop icon you want to open.

6. You can open any program from the Windows main menu, and it is ready to use.

DISABLING THE EDT PROTOCOL

To ensure consistent performance, it is recommended that the "Enlightened Data Protocol," or EDT, be turned off.

1. Open the Citrix Workspace App settings and select "Advanced."

2. Click on "Adaptive Transport Settings."

3. Turn the "Allow EDT" button to the "Off" position.

Alternate Method - Connecting from the Chrome Browser (Workaround)

This is an alternate workaround method, that involves connecting through the Chrome Browser:

1. Download the Citrix Workspace App, which is available from the App store.

2. Once it is installed on your Mac device, open the Chrome browser and go to the Digital Workplace User portal. This address will be different depending on your region — your Organizational Account Administrator can provide you with the URL.

3. When you have logged into the User Portal with your Autodesk account, click on the Digital Desktop icon you want to open.

4. Open the .ica file by clicking on the tab at the bottom of the screen. It will open through the Citrix workspace.

5. When the Digital Desktop is launched, you can open any program from the Windows main menu, and it is ready to use.
