About BCF File Format
The BCF file format, which stands for BIM Collaboration Format, allows for exchanging model-based information through issue exports between different BIM software tools.
The Issues tool allows you to export an issue or issues of your choice as a BCF file and share them with other BCF-supported apps. You can also import issues from a BCF file, but the import feature is currently in private beta and has been made available only to a limited number of customers.
The BCF export supports the following:
- Comments, image attachments, selected model elements, camera view, and issue thumbnail
- Exports from a single issue or bulk export using the issues side panel in a model viewer, and get it emailed to user
- RVT and IFC files
Note: A maximum of 250 issues can be exported into a BCF file.
