Supported Languages and Preferences

The product language depends on your browser's language preferences and on whether that language is supported by each product.

Important:

  • System-generated reports and email notifications use separate language settings from your browser.
  • See the About Reports topic to change report language.
  • To change the language for emails, sign in to your personal Autodesk profile and click Settings on the left.

Supported languages

The following languages are supported in unified products (AutoSpecs, BIM Collaborate Pro, Build, Docs, and Takeoff):

  • Chinese (Simplified)
  • Chinese (Traditional)
  • Czech
  • Danish
  • Dutch
  • English (UK)
  • English (US)
  • French
  • French (Canadian)
  • German
  • Italian
  • Japanese
  • Korean
  • Norwegian
  • Polish
  • Spanish
  • Swedish
Note: Not all browser language variations are supported. For example, German (Switzerland) may not localize to German, while German (Germany) does. If your browser uses an unsupported language or language combination, the product displays in English (US) by default.

Select a Language Preference

See the instructions below to learn how to select a language preference for the product with three common browsers.

Google Chrome

  1. In Google Chrome, click > Settings.
  2. Click Advanced.
  3. Scroll down and expand the Languages section.
  4. Click Add languages, select the checkbox next to the language you require and click Add.
  5. Click > Move to the top, or Move down, to order the languages based on your preference. You can also select the Display Google Chrome in this language option to specify a default language.
  6. You can also turn on the Offer to translate pages that aren't in a language you read option.
  7. Refresh, or close and reopen, the browser to update the display language.

Edge

  1. Click Tools > Internet Options.
  2. Click Languages.
  3. Click Set Language Preferences to display the Control Panel.
  4. Click Add a language.
  5. Select the language you require.
  6. Click Add.
  7. Order the languages based on your preference, using the Move up and Move down buttons.
  8. Close the Control Panel, and then click OK to close the Language Preference and Internet Options dialog boxes.
  9. Close and reopen the browser to update the display language.

Firefox

  1. Click > Options.
  2. From the sidebar, select Content.
  3. Scroll down to Languages and Appearance, and click Choose in the Language section.
  4. Choose a language from the Select a language to add drop-down list.
  5. Order the languages based on your preference, using the Move up and Move down buttons.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Refresh, or close and reopen, the browser to update the display language.
