Initial Project Download Options

  1. Open the Autodesk Construction Cloud mobile app on your mobile device and sign in to your account.

The app will open on the Projects page and with the Construction Cloud tab open. This is where your Autodesk Construction Cloud platform projects are listed as:

    • On this device: Projects which you've downloaded to your device and are available to work with offline.

    • In the cloud: Projects which you haven't downloaded and are therefore not available offline.

  2. To download a project to your device, tap the name of the relevant project In the cloud.

  3. Choose your download options. You can either:

    • Click Download to device to download the project using the default options:

      • Sheets: Current sheets only
      • Files: No files
      • Photos: No photos
      • Attachments/References:
        • Issues: Off
        • RFIs: On
        • Submittals: Off
    • Tap on the sheets, files, photos, and attachments/references fields individually to set specific download options for each item.

Note: The download options that you see may vary depending on whether you subscribe to Build, Docs, BIM Collaborate, or BIM Collaborate Pro. See About the App to learn more about the different capabilities.
  4. If you choose to set specific options for each item, tap on each one to view the download options available. For example:

These options enable you to download only what you need to access on your device, saving storage space. The available options are as follows:

    • Sheets:

      • Current sheets only - download only the current set of sheets, for example to get ready for your site walk.
      • All sheets - download all versions of all sheets.
      • No sheets.
    • Files:

      • All files and folders.

      • No files.

Note: The Files download options are only available the first time that you download each project to your device.
    • Photos:

      • All photos.
      • Only those photos that were created in the last 7, 14, 30, or 60 days.
      • No photos.

See Downloaded Photos for more information on how photos are downloaded and retained using these options.

    • Attachments/References:

      • Select all - toggle on to download all attachments and references as detailed below.
      • Issues - toggle on to download attachments and references for all active issues (all issue statuses except Closed).
      • RFIs - toggle on to download all Official Response Attachments for all RFIs.
      • Submittals - toggle on to download all Official Response Attachments for all submittals.
Note: Some items, such as sheets or photos, can be both an individual piece of data, and also be attached to or referenced by another item. For these items, two sets of download options might apply. In such cases, all items that meet each set of criteria are downloaded. See Download Options Interactions and Interactions for a specific example.
  5. Once you've selected your download options, tap Download to device.

You can view the progress as your project downloads.

Your project will move to On this device when it is downloaded.
