Issues - FAQ and Troubleshooting

This topic offers solutions to some of the common problems that you may encounter when working in the Issues tool.

Note: Connected issue pins are currently in private beta and available to a limited set of customers, on selected projects. Functionality and availability can change before general release.

Troubleshooting Problems with Issue Pins

An issue pin normally connects across every view that covers its location. Some sheet conditions block that connection. These sections cover what you see, why it happens, and how to fix it.

Pin Doesn't Appear in Other Views

Cause

An RVT sheet can hold several viewports, and each one shows a single view of the model. You placed the source pin where two or more viewports overlap. Autodesk Forma can't tell which view that location belongs to, so it doesn't create connected pins. Learn more about viewports in Revit.

Solution

Drag the source pin to an area covered by one viewport. The issue keeps its ID, status, details, and activity log, and connected pins appear in the matching views.

Note: You don't need a republished model to clear this alert. Moving the pin fixes it right away.

To prevent the condition at the source, see Viewports on RVT Sheets.
