Section 3D Models

The Section Analysis tool provides a single face to cut the model along the X, Y, or Z planes.

Sectioning doesn't affect the design file. Sectioning only affects the view of the model temporarily until the viewer is closed.

1. On the viewer toolbar, click the Section Analysis icon . Choose the type of sectioning you want to use from the following.

   • Add X Plane to section along the X axis.
   • Add Y Plane to section along the Y axis.
   • Add Z Plane to section along the Z axis.
   • Add Box to section a specific area.

2. Drag the desired manipulators until the model is sectioned the way you want.

3. When done, click the Section Analysis icon to turn off sectioning.
