For block stock, you can compute the stock dimensions from items in the document, such as geometry, features, and solids.
Note: This only changes the size of the stock. It does not affect the part programming origin.
- Right-click the stock in the Part View and select Properties.
- On the Dimensions tab of the Stock Properties dialog, select Block.
- Click Resize.
- In the Stock Dimensions page of the Resize wizard, select Compute stock size from the size of the part.
- Enter an extra stock size in the positive and negative direction for each axis to increase or decrease the computed stock dimensions. You can enter positive or negative values.
- Click Preview to preview the stock in the Graphics window.
- Click Next.
- If the document does not contain any features:
- Select Move Geometry to resize the stock and move the geometry items within the stock boundary.
- Select Move Stock to resize and move the stock without moving the geometry items.
- Click Finish.
