What is Flow Generative Scheduling
Creating realistic and achievable schedules for complex projects is typically a very manual and time consuming process. It can take days, or even weeks, to create a single schedule scenario that respects the non-negotiable aspects of a project while also achieving level utilization of the resources that you have available to do the project.
Schedules are commonly built on estimates and assumptions, but inevitably things change during the lifecycle of a project. The project's schedule needs to be continually adjusted to accommodate changes in constraints.
However, adjusting and re-leveling a schedule is time consuming. Staying ahead of changing project requirements quickly becomes unmanageable, and ensuring that your schedule continually matches your project's needs can feel impossible.
This is where Flow Generative Scheduling aims to help, by providing you with the ability to create realistic and balanced schedules that are easy to explore and adjust throughout the lifecycle of your project.
Starting with Flow Generative Scheduling
Flow Generative Scheduling allows you to generate scenarios of a schedule that has been imported into Flow Generative Scheduling. This means that you first create a schedule elsewhere and do not create or edit a schedule directly in Flow Generative Scheduling.
Flow Generative Scheduling can be connected to Flow Production Tracking to import a schedule from Flow Production Tracking. Once you are happy with your schedule scenario in Flow Generative Scheduling, you can send proposed changes to task start dates from Flow Generative Scheduling back to Flow Production Tracking. See Importing a Schedule from Flow Production Tracking and Send Schedule back to Flow Production Tracking for more details.
Alternatively, schedules can be imported into Flow Generative Scheduling as JSON files using the open schedule format (OSF) JSON schema. This allows software developers to create integrations between Flow Generative Scheduling and other applications that you may use for scheduling aside from Flow Production Tracking. For more information on the OSF schema, refer to the OSF documentation.
Download a demo schedule
You can download a demo schedule. Use it to try out Flow Generative Scheduling even if you don't already have a suitable schedule of your own in open schedule format or to import from Flow Production Tracking.
How does the AI in Flow Generative Scheduling use my data?
Flow Generative Scheduling creates a unique Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) model for each data set that is imported to be scheduled. This model is derived only from the data set that is imported and does not utilize any models trained on, or derived from, any data from other users or 3rd parties. Similarly, any data that is imported into Flow Generative Scheduling is not used in the training of any other AI/ML models. It is only used to create the unique AI/ML model for the data set imported.
