About the Information tab
The Information tab gives you at a glance all the metadata of the activity selected in the Gantt chart. It provides you with information such the type of activity, its unique identifier, any tags or category, and the resource associated to the activity.
Different activity types can display a subset of the following since not all of it applies to all activities.
The information displayed is set in the application that created the schedule and cannot be changed in Flow Generative Scheduling. Also, the contents of this tab depends on the creating software: If it doesn't support fields like tags, no Tags information will be displayed.
1. Activity type and name 2. (Optional) Warnings or errors 3. (Optional) Activity path 4. Activity time frame 5. Basic information 6. Resource information
Activity overview
The Activity overview appears at the top of each Activity panel, and summarizes the selected activity.
Activity type and name
The name of the activity.
Warnings and errors
The errors () and warnings () icons only appear when infeasible constraints are applied to the activity itself or to one of its children.
appears when at least one of the children of the selected activity has an infeasible constraint.
appears when the selected activity has an infeasible constraint.
Activity path
The ancestry of the activity.
Activity time frame
The Activity time frame displays when the activity starts and ends, and its duration.
Basic information
The Basic information section provides you with detailed information about the selected activity.
Activity type
The type of activity selected in the Gantt chart. It can be a Summary, a Milestone, or a Task.
Activity ID
The activity ID of the selected activity. This information uniquely identifies the activity in Flow Generative Scheduling.
If you import you schedule from Flow Production Tracking, then this matches the task ID in that system.
Activity hierarchy
Where the activity stands in the schedule hierarchy.
Tags
A list of tags assigned to the activity. An activity can have multiple tags.
If you import you schedule from Flow Production Tracking, then the short code for the pipeline step (if there is one) associated with a task becomes a tag in Flow Generative Scheduling. Tags are used for filtering in activities in the Schedule and Resource tabs.
Category
The category of the activity. An activity can only have one category.
If you import your schedule from Flow Production Tracking, the Type included in the tacking hierarchy settings (such as Character or Environment) becomes a Category in Flow Generative Scheduling. Categories are used for filtering in activities in the Schedule and Resource tabs.
Resource Information (Tasks only)
The resource classes assigned to the activity. Each resource class indicates how many units of this resource are required to complete the task.
