About sending the schedule back to Flow Production Tracking
Sending a schedule scenario from Flow Generative Scheduling to Flow Production Tracking updates a field on the Task entity, Proposed Start Date.
Sending a schedule scenario does not update any other fields or entities in Flow Production Tracking.
If there is already data in the Proposed Start Date field, it will be overwritten.
For Tasks that were added or removed between when the schedule was imported in Flow Generative Scheduling and when the scenario is sent back, the Proposed Start Date for these Tasks will not be modfied.
You can only send schedule scenarios to Flow Production Tracking if you have the permissions required to edit the Proposed Start Date field.

Using schedule scenario data in Flow Production Tracking
Schedule scenario data that has been sent from Flow Generative Scheduling to Flow Production Tracking will appear in the Proposed Start Date field on the Task entity.
This lets you review the schedule suggestions from Flow Generative Scheduling in the full context of your production schedule before actually modifying your live production schedule.
The Proposed Start Date field behaves the same as other date fields on the Task entity, and lets you:
- View the field's history to see who modified the proposed start date on a task.
- Manually clear the value if you decide not to use the proposed start date.
- Manually modify the date if you would like to change it.
Applying proposed start dates from Flow Generative Scheduling
If you have the permissions required to edit the Start Date on the Task entity, then you will also see a menu entry on the Task entity, Apply Proposed Start Date. If you do not see this menu entry on the Task entity, you may not have the permissions to edit the Start Date field on the Task entity.
When the Apply Proposed Start Date option is used:
The selected Tasks are pinned.
- Tasks are pinned so that the automatic dependency evaluation in Flow Production Tracking no longer applies and the Task will stay at the applied start date.
The value of the Proposed Start Date field replaces any existing value in the Start Date field.
The value of Proposed Start Date is cleared.
The value of Due Date is updated automatically, based on the Task's duration.
