Release Notes in Version 2025.3

This topic lists any bugs that have been fixed between versions 2025.2 and 2025.3 of ICMLive Operator Client.

See Known Limitation and Issues for a list of limitations and any issues that we are aware of.

The fixes listed below are those that are viewed as likely to impact on users in an unexpected way, mainly changed simulation results, or differences in behaviour that might not be obvious.

Spurious tiny velocities in 2D simulations run on a GPU

When run on a GPU, spurious tiny velocities and angles could sometimes be generated. For databases of version 2025.3 or later, these are now reset to zero, which is consistent with existing functionality when run on a CPU.

Attempting to update a database that is already at the current version

The dialog shown when attempting to update a database that is already at the current version has had its text reinstated.

Evaporation recovery on DefConLoss in 2D models

When using 2D DefConLoss infiltration with no depth on the surface and an evaporation profile or value defined in the rainfall event, the rate of recovery of the infiltration properties was potentially calculated incorrectly during dry periods. Depending on the time step, the recovery was faster or slower than it should be. This has been corrected for databases from version 2025.3. Simulations using older version databases will continue to produce the same results.

Roughness definitions in simulations run on GPU

Roughness definitions, with two depth bands, were using incorrect Manning's roughness values for depths above transition depth when running a simulation on a GPU. This was causing velocities and depths to be overestimated. This has been fixed.

Validating 2D zones

Some spurious validation errors about adding buildings and initial condition zones since meshing was performed have been removed.
