Personalizes the command selection and appearance of the marking menu.
Access
Ribbon: Tools tab Options panel
Customize
, and then in the dialog box, click the Marking Menu tab.


Commands
- Environment
-
Specifies the corresponding marking menu for an appropriate environment.
- Sub-Environment
- Provides additional marking menu options for the subenvironments in the Part, Drawing, Assembly, and Welding Assembly environments. (Assembly and Welding Assembly environments are found in Inventor only.)
- Select Menu Location
-
Specifies a location on the menu for new commands. Click the menu location (North, South, East, West, and so on).
- Search Command
-
Finds a command when you enter the first few characters, or the full name of a command. Click Search to display a list of all commands that begin with that character string.
You can select the environment from which to choose the new command. Then select a command from the list.
- Marking Menu Style
-
Controls the display of the marking menu.

Show Text Only Displays text only, and no icons, in the marking menu nodes.

Show Icon and Text Displays icons and text in the marking menu nodes. Turned on by default.

Show Icon Only Displays icons only in the marking menu nodes.

- Overflow Menu
-
Controls the display of the overflow menu, which lists commands below the marking menu.

Full Menu Displays the entire overflow menu. Turned on by default.

Radial Menu Only Displays no overflow menu.

Short Menu Displays a shortened overflow menu that contains the most commonly used commands.

- Restore Default
-
Discards your changes, and returns the current marking menu to its default node selections.
Click the down arrow at the far right of the Restore Default button.
- Restore Default to Entire Inventor

Returns all marking menus to the default node selections.
Click the down arrow at the far right of the Restore Default button.
- Use Classic Context Menu
-
Disables the marking menus and reverts to use of the legacy context menus.
Buttons
- Import
-
Restores the customized settings from the .xml file saved during export.
Note: Close all Inventor files before you import your settings.To retain custom settings, import your settings after you install a new release. - Export

Saves the customized settings in an .xml file. Click Export to open the Export Customization Settings dialog box. Select a file location, enter a file name, and then click Save.
- Close

Closes the Customize dialog box.
