Unidentified surface texture is used to define the surface texture for all part surfaces without a specific surface texture definition. You can identify the surface texture and arrange the annotation appropriately based on GOST standards. The annotation appears on the active drawing sheet in the upper-right corner, and is not attached to a specific part of the drawing with a leader. You can edit the symbol on the active sheet.
Note: The unidentified surface texture command is like the Surface Texture Symbol command. The only difference is that it does not have a short-form dialog box.
To add unidentified surface texture symbols in GOST drawings, follow these steps:
- On the ribbon, click Annotate (ESKD) tab
Symbols panel
Unidentified Surface Texture
.
- In the Standard section, select the appropriate GOST symbol standard. GOST 2.309-2002 is the default. Depending on the standard you select, the Requirement section changes. If you choose the GOST 2.309-1973 standard, new fields are added and some fields are moved to a different location.
- In the Symbol section, you can:
- On the left side, choose one of the basic surface texture symbols. Treatment Unspecified is the default symbol.
- On the right side, choose one or more symbols to add to the basic symbol.
- In the Requirement section, you can add the following:
- Enabled when you select the Removal of Material Required symbol.
- Surface Texture Value - Click the plus sign to add up to four fields. Click the minus sign to remove fields.
- Texture Direction - Disabled when you select the Removal of Material Prohibited symbol.
- Available only if you choose the GOST 2.309-1973 standard.
- Click OK.
