To Work with Marking Menus

Execute Gesture

  1. In the graphics window, start the marking menu. Right-click, and hold down the mouse button as you drag the cursor in the direction of the node for the appropriate operation. A visible trail in the canvas marks the cursor path.
  2. Release the right mouse button before the entire marking menu displays. The selected node displays briefly, and the command that corresponds to this node executes.

Dismiss

  • Click in the center of the radial menu. Do not press Esc, which can cancel a command in progress.

Disable

  • Click the Tools tab Options panel Customize. On the Marking Menu tab, and at the lower right of the dialog box, select Use Classic context menu.

Select Item

  • Use the Up and Down arrow keys to navigate to the item. When it is highlighted, click to confirm.

Delete Command

  • Right-click a command node, and on the context menu, click Remove.

Restore Command

  • Right-click the command node and click Reset Node.

Create Custom Menu

Define a custom marking menu that displays when you hold down the <CTRL> key as you right-click.

  1. On the ribbon, Tools tab Options panel, click Customize.
  2. In the Customize dialog box, Marking Menu tab, select the environment for the custom marking menu.
  3. On the Sub-Environment menu, select Ctrl + Right Click Menu.
  4. Select the marking menu node where you want to position the command.
  5. Select the command to add to the marking menu.
Note: If no menu is defined for <CTRL> + right-click, then the default menu for that environment displays.
