Screw and Worm Gear Joint Properties - Parameters Tab

Sets joint parameters for a screw or a worm gear joint.

Access:

In the Dynamic Simulation browser, right-click a screw or a worm gear joint, and select Properties. Click the Parameters tab.

Screw and worm gear joints have similar parameters because both have screws.

Kinematics
Screw pitch	Sets the screw pitch. The screw pitch is the inverse of the threads per inch.
Wheel radius	Sets the wheel radius.
Efforts computation
Mean radius	Sets the mean radius for the screw.
Half thread angle	Sets the half thread angle of the screw.
Friction	Sets the coefficient of friction between the screw and the thread.
