Adding meter construction types

InfoWorks WS Pro already supplies a small selection of meter construction types.

Add new meter construction types

1. Choose Tools Meter construction.
2. Add a new construction type by filling in the blank Name field at the foot of the Name column. The maximum name length is 10 characters.
3. Add a description if you want.

   You can cut, copy and paste cell or row content by using the appropriate context menu option.

4. Click OK.

Your new construction types will appear in drop-down lists when setting the Construction Type field on the Meter Grid view of the links grid or the Meter Parameters page of the meter property sheet.

Delete user-defined construction types

• Select the row in the grid and press the Delete key, or
• select the row, right-clicking the grey cell to the left of the row, and select Delete Row from the context menu. It is possible to delete several rows at the same time.

You cannot delete built-in types - a warning message will be displayed for each built-in type that you try to delete.

You can import and export meter construction data using CSV files. This allows you to transfer user-defined meter construction details between users and databases. Use the Export and Import buttons.
