The
ViewCube was not included in versions of Maya between 2018–2022, but if you need a quick way to switch views in the Viewport without the Viewcube, create a tear-off menu of the
View Along Axis menu:
- In the Maya Panel Menus, select View > View Along Axis.
- Double-click the two dotted lines at the top of the menu to tear it off so that it becomes a separate window.

- Position the View Along Axis menu where you'd like, and click the axis you would like to view.
