Export objects as a referenced file

Tip: Before exporting a set of objects, you may want to select Reference > Export Selection As Reference > to open the Export Selection As Reference Options, review the settings, and make any changes.

To export objects to a new file that is referenced to the current scene

1. In the Outliner, select the objects you want to export as a reference.
2. Right-click the object(s) and select Reference > Export Selection As Reference.
