Quantifying results against criteria

In this task, you will learn how to quantify results of studies that are included in the same Moldflow Results file (project) compared to specified criteria that are saved in a Moldflow Criteria file (*.criteria).

Note: Download the Moldflow Communicator tutorial files from the Tutorial files section of the Moldflow Communicator download page, and unzip the folder to access the individual files.

The open project contains results from 2 studies displayed in the Project View pane of the Tasks tab. You will quantify the results of these 2 studies against specified criteria.

Note: Only results files exported from Autodesk Moldflow Insight can be compared against criteria files.

  1. Click quantify icon (Home tab > Results panel > Quantify).

    The Open dialog appears.

  2. Navigate to the file location where you saved the downloaded tutorial files, select the amc_tutorial.criteria file.

  3. Click Open.

    The Study Comparison Report dialog appears.

    Differences between study results and specified criteria are highlighted in yellow. Variables for which criteria may be specified appear in the left column. Study results appear in the next column(s). Criteria that have been specified appear in the right column.

  4. Click the Show only rows with differences checkbox to display only rows with differences.

  5. Click the Show only rows with criteria checkbox to display only rows with specified criteria.

  6. Click Export.

    The Save As dialog opens. The Save as type list indicates CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv).

  7. Navigate to the location where you want to save the file.

  8. Enter the name of the file, then click Save.

  9. Click Close.
