To import a model
Unless the model has a *.sdy file format, you can only import a single cavity. Separate multiple cavity models before importing.
- Click
(Home tab > Import panel > Import). - Select the Files of type drop-down list. The list of file types directly supported is shown. Select All Models to show the list of all model file formats in your directory.
- Navigate to the folder in which your model is saved, select it and click Open.
- Select the mesh type to be used from the drop-down list.
- If you selected a native CAD geometry, do one of the following:
- Click Direct Import using Autodesk Moldflow Design Link to import the model in its native format, or
- Check Process using Autodesk Moldflow Design Link to translate the model.
Note: If you selected this last option, click Advanced, select the required alternate meshing parameters that Autodesk® Moldflow® Design Link offers and click OK.
The model is read in, and a new study is automatically created in the your project.
