Set up and Render a Scene with the Autodesk Renderer
Click Render tab > System panel > Autodesk Rendering
to open the Autodesk Rendering window.
Set up the scene.
- Use the Materials tab to apply materials to the model. See Use Autodesk Materials for more details.
- Use the Material Mapping tab to more accurately map materials onto the items in the scene. See Material Mapping for more details.
- Use the Lighting tab to set up additional lighting. See Use Autodesk Lighting for more details.
- Use the Environments tab if you want to add the sun and sky simulation and to adjust the exposure settings.
On the ribbon, click the Ray Trace
split button. You will see a check box next to the currently selected render style.
The Low Quality and Coffee Break Rendering styles are the fastest to render, and High Quality and Overnight Rendering are the slowest to render. Click the desired style to select it for your rendering. You can also customize the rendering settings on the Autodesk Rendering window > Settings tab.
Click Ray Trace
to start rendering. Use the Pause
button if you need to temporarily stop the process.
Real-time navigation is supported during the photorealistic rendering. This means, you can, for example, orbit, zoom, and pan your model. This restarts the rendering process. If you want to return to realistic visual style, click the Stop
button.
