Create a project

  1. Open the model you want to use for takeoff.

  2. Click Home tab > Tools > Quantification Workbook.

    If this is the first time you opened the file in Quantification, a Project Setup button is displayed.

  3. In the Quantification Workbook, click Project Setup.

  4. In the Setup Quantification: Select Catalog dialog, select a listed catalog or browse for a custom catalog.

    Note: If you use a custom catalog it must have the same units of measurement and properties as your current project.

  5. Click Next.

  6. On the Setup Quantification: Select Units dialog, select measurement units.

  7. Click Next.

  8. On the Setup Quantification: Select Takeoff Properties dialog, select the units you want to use for each takeoff property.

  9. Click Next > Finish.

    The project is created, and the Items are displayed in the Quantification Workbook.
