To Set Windows Environment Variables

This task ensures that Local Simulation will properly use system resources.

1. Navigate to the Local Simulation environmental variable file:

   C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Autodesk Local Simulation 2018\env\pan.env

2. Right-click pan.env, Choose Open With - and select your preferred text editor.
3. Set  OMP NUM THREADS to the number of physical processing cores in your system. If your system uses hyperthreading, do not use the number of apparent cores, as this will slow down performance.
4. Set KMP STACKSIZE:2G
5. Save and close the file.
